America - a Divided Nation

Not facts but interpretations are sacred, this is exactly the strategy of neo liberals. Sleeper cells have been created to destroy the values that are at the core of USA as a nation. These sleeper cells sprang into action after the inauguration of Donald Trump as US President in 2016 and started open rioting, arson and violence on the streets. ‘Not My President’ was their war cry. Leftists have scant regard for Democracy, constitution or the legal system. They make use of these values and institutions only to further their cause. Once their objectives are achieved and power is grabbed, democracy and freedom are the first and final causality.

Within only a few days of Trump taking oath, the left activists and extremists started their campaign in a co-ordinated manner. 4000 Antifa (Anti Fascist supporters) congregated at Berkely in California on 27 August 2017. Their slogans, ‘No Trump, No Wall, No USA At All’, clearly revealed that Trump and Wall Street are mere symbols. The real target is the very existence of America. This movement started under the pretext of opposing American fascism is powered by the left ecosystem in media, universities, big-tech companies, bureaucracy in the USA. This was the time of evolution of ‘Cancel Culture’, which meant any speaker who even remotely disagreed with the left world view was prevented from entering university campuses. Tricks like using pepper sprays, throwing stones and crackers and attacking security personnel, were used to disperse the audiences that has assembled to listen to such speakers. During these protests anarchy reigned on the campus as the rioters roam with sticks and baseball bats, holding placards that read ‘America Was Never Great’. This was an expression of the left’s insidious plan to destroy USA’s education system, right from the school level, by teaching students to hate their own country. This cancel culture has engulfed the USA and most countries in Western Europe as well. The left strategy of de-platforming their opponents and denying them even an opportunity to earn their livelihood is now being employed regularly. In such an atmosphere of intellectual terror, no one dares to think or express a contrarian viewpoint.

Black Lives Matter-

On 25 May 2020, an employee of a shop in Minneapolis informed police that a 20 dollar note given by an African-American, George Floyd to buy cigarettes is fake and that he refused to either return the cigarettes or replace the note. Police reached the spot and during scuffle a white policeman, Derek Chauvin, pinned Floyd to the ground and pressed his knee on Floyd’s neck resulting in Floyd’s death. Chauvin was prosecuted and was sentenced to 22 year imprisonment. But this incident blew in America’s face and the fire spread all over the country and other parts of the world. Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz declared,” Rioting is no more concerned with George Floyd’s unfortunate death but it is now clearly an attempt to attackthe civil society, terrorize and destabilise the cities.” Protests outside White House were so fierce, that President Trump has to take shelter inside the bunkers. Statues of many American heroes were dismantled, claiming they were supporters of slavery. This includes America’s founding fathers like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. This was in tune with the leFt strategy of making American feel ashamed of their history and hate their country.

We generally believe, that this was a spontaneous reaction against racism which lead to a movement called ‘Black Lives Matter’. Actually, this movement had started in 2013 itself,when George Zimmerman, an American citizen of Latin origin was absolved of a charge of shooting dead a black teenager called Trevor Martin. The jury found that Zimmerman had shot in self defence, after Martin had attacked him. As a protest against this judgement , three black ladies Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullers and Opel Tome established Black Lives Matter(BLM). An effort is always made to hide the extremist nature of this movement behind its carefully-crafted image as a spontaneous uprising against racism ingrained in American society. Karol Swain, Professor of Political Science in Vanderbilt University, herself a black, has strongly criticised BLM’s cunning strategy of making use of the black community to insert Marxist ideas in USA’s mainstream discourse.

         In 2020, BLM spread a rumour that the Chicago police had shot dead a black teenager, which lead to huge demonstration and looting. Showrooms of iconic brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Apple and Tesla were brazenly looted. This was actively encouraged by BLM Chicago, in thewords ‘Loot Back’. A typical Marxist justification for this was, ‘ these brands have earned their wealth only by looting the black community. So it was okay to loot them back.’ The leftist cunning of hiding their strategy of spreading anarchy, behind a mask of morality, is simply jaw dropping.

We have seen the examples of two extremist, violent movements, Antifa and Black Lives Matter. Such movements generally don’t find a place in mainstream and are active on the periphery of any society. But the powers that aim to disturb stability and spread anarchy, try to push extremism and violence to the mainstream. Such efforts are now getting big traction and success in the USA. Big institutions like media and academia are always ready to cover up, negate and justify every act of violence by Antifa and BLM. This has emboldened the left so much that collecting and sharing personal information of opponents, profiling and threatening them, has become common. A slang term to describe this harassment is ‘doxing’. The objective of mainstreaming anarchy hasn’t been achieved overnight. Over the last many decades political, educational, economic, cultural and family institutions in America have been continuously subverted in a well planned manner. This has been repeated in all democratic countries including Bharat. It is therefore important to understand this process of subversion and learn how to avoid this dangerous trap. After a sustained long time effort, the left has succeeded in creating a vertical split in American society.
