Sholey in today’s context

 SHOLEY, 1975 


I don’t know how many of you have seen this film but for me its THE landmark film from Bollywood which is reverent even today. Let’s examine the characters and places


1. LOCATION : Village Ramghar, a hindu village with just 2 MusIims. Today it is represented as Secular Bharat


2. THAKUR : a legendry senior citizen in village who want to protect the village from violent thug Gabbar. Today it is represents RSS who want to save Bharat and Hindus from Anti Nationals. RSS doesn’t have hands to do it so they brought in Jai and Viru


3. GABBAR : a Dacoit who rule Ramghar with its thug gang and loot the village whenever he wants. Today its Bharat looted by Scammers, Break India forces lead by a family  and their army of thugs, the opposition


4.  JAI & VIRU : Two brave brotherly men who have faced court and were branded thugs but were pure at heart and want to liberate village from Gabbar. Today these two men are none other then Amit shah and Modi. THAKUR (RSS) brought them to save Bharat. Both teaching Hindus how to fight out the civilization war


5. VILLAGERS : All sleeping Hindus who have surrendered themselves to Gabbar. Thakur woke up their consciousness and want to liberate them from Gabbar. Today these villagers are we, who have hope from Modi Shah but easily fall for secularism like the villagers fall for Rahim chacha and his son and today when time has come to unite and clean bharat they run away and want Jai Viru to leave the village


6. RAHIM Chacha & Son : Only 2 MusIim in the whole village. Projected as a humble person. Today they are the same all over Bharat


7. BASANTI : A loudmouth lady. Today these are ladies on social media who claim victimhood if you counter them and level fake allegation on everyone who doesn’t fall in their trap 


8. DHANNO : The horse Basanti use to command. Today it is represented by the killer mafia of men controlled by ladies to hit people and defame others for personal gain because they didn’t fall in her trap


9. JAILOR : English-style jailor. Today it is Italian mata ji. She says “Half go left, half go right, rest come behind me. And we know the situation of congress


10. HARIRAM Nai : The jailor informer, today there are people in Media who pass information to Italian Mata ji for some biscuit


11. SOORMA BHOPALI : A loudmouth character who claims to be one giving instruction to Jai Viru. Today these are Twitter, Youtube Diplomacy, Financial, IB, RAW, experts who give advice to Modi Shah every morning at the drop of a hat and if by chance some hit the bull's eye they claim to be an official advisor or Modi Shah follow them


12. THE TEMPLE : Broken shiv temple and dacoit use to hide loot behind shiv statue. Today it represents Hindus who for selfish interest loot and misguide people


13. THE MASJID : Well maintained Masjid which uses the loudspeaker for azan when the village has no electricity. Today it is a representation of secularism of opposition 


14. THE WATER TANK : The village water tank where no one knows how water will be pumped when the village has no electricity. Today it is represented by Kejriwal who promise everything fee under the sky or he can think off with no plan how to deliver


15. BASANTI DANCE : Basanti had to dance on command of Gabbar. In today’s world it represents fence-sitters who tweet or make a youtube video on command of Italian Mafia against some biscuit thrown at them


16. SHOLEY, The film itself : It was released in 1975 when the whole nation was burning under emergency and even than it went housefull for 250 weeks. Today the same situation is Bollywood, the whole nation has witnessed Bollywood and its anti hindu plan, drugs, porn, sex but still lot of folks go and watch films as an excuse for entertainment
