 The left-hander is the rebel until he starts demanding censorship for those who don't think like him.

He presents himself as an enemy of power, but when he gains influence, he wants to control the discourse. He presents himself as a defender of the oppressed, but he starts calling any worker who threatens his narrative "dangerous."

Then comes the usual excuse: we have to censor "for the good of society," "to protect the revolution," "to combat hate," "to avoid disinformation."

And so, the one who yesterday was shouting against censorship ends up justifying it when the censorship is aimed at his adversaries.

The problem was never censorship. The problem was who had control of the censorship apparatus.

But when they manage to get the State to silence the dissenter, they no longer need to be right. They just need to have power.

The true test of tolerance is not defending freedom of speech when your friend is speaking.

It's defending it when your enemy is speaking.

And a revolution that needs to silence the dissenter to survive is not a revolution of ideas.

It's a power structure terrified of ideas.
